Brahmani
Liebman, MSEd, ERYT-500, is Founder and Director of The Rivertown
Center for Yoga and Health in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She is a
Senior Kripalu Yoga Teacher & Mentor and part of the Kripalu Yoga
Teacher Training team. In addition, Brahmani is co-creator of

Brahmani brings over thirty years of studies and experience in
yoga, meditation & complementary modalities. She has studied and
taught yoga and meditation with some of America's Master teachers
in Yoga & Buddhist meditation. In addition to her deep connection
to the Kripalu lineage her teaching has been influenced by her
studies and teacher trainings with Erich Schiffman & Sarah Powers.
Soon after her studies with Sarah Powers began the integration
and deepening in Brahmani's teachings of Yin Yoga, Buddhist studies
and Kripalu Yoga. Her training as a Transcendental Reiki Master
and teacher, certified Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist and certified
Your Life Blueprint: Multi-Dimensional Living Counselor and her
lifelong journey of awakening is what informs her work with groups
and individuals.
In addition to being on the Yoga Teacher Training Team at Kripalu,
she served as Co-Director of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association
(KYTA) from 1992 to 1997. Brahmani worked on staff at Kripalu
Center for Yoga & Health and lead workshops at the Teachers' Conferences.
She has also assisted Jeff Migdow's Prana, Erich Schiffman's Freedom
Style & Sarah Powers Yin/Yang Yoga teacher trainings. Brahmani
has served as the yoga consultant for Eileen Fisher Inc.
She opened The Rivertown Center for Yoga & Health's doors in 1992,
and has balanced her full-time responsibilities there with her
deep commitment to family as a wife, mother and grandmother. Dedicated
to community-locally, by offering herself freely to young people
through yoga and meditation teaching and "wellness days" at regional
schools; and globally, by fostering planetary healing in the yogic
sense of the "world as one family" through her leadership and
teaching. Her deep commitment to sharing the gifts of practice
and teachings is offered to everyone who has a need despite their
financial situations through scholarship and donation classes.
Her co-creation of JOURNEY INTO YOGA's CD, "Awakening the Spirit",
along with her classes and trainings, brings to the community
a way to take the teachings home to support their life and personal
practice. Brahmani, believing in people's ability to access their
healing and inner knowing, offers tangible and sustainable ways
to live a spiritual life.
