I look forward to being with you in this fun day of exploration to deepen and inspire our practices. I hope to see many of you. Please register early.
Transcendental Reiki II Attunement / Training w/ Brahmani Wednesday, April 10th - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm $275
You receive the second degree Reiki initiation through two more attunements, which give you access to transmit an even higher level of Reiki energy. Along with the hand positions, you now learn to use three potent hand symbols that focus the Reiki energy where you wish; concentrate on physical or mental/emotional healing; and send long-distance healing elsewhere or even to the past and future. We will contemplate especially the [writing] of Jñ?neshwar called the Amritanubhav—a profound, poetic and playful expression of the intoxicating dance of Shiva and Shakti (Consciousness and Energy). Let There Be light
Sunday, May 19 – 2:00 – 5:00 w/ Hasita Nadai & Judith Rose
$45 prepaid ($50 paypal) $55 at the door
In the beginning of the beginning there was Light. The identity of this cosmic light has fascinated mystics throughout time. Some see it as a primordial urge in the universe that moves us along towards greater consciousness. Some see it as an endless light that fires creation and creativity. Some see it as the Big Bang. We stand now on the edge of old paradigms and on the brink of new ones. How may we best identify ourselves with this irreversible spiral towards enlightenment? How may we find our unique part in it? What does it mean to truly open up to the Light?
Please join us for a mystical exploration into these questions that will unite the disciplines of Yogagaia™, Vital Movement™, and Otiyot Hayyot (Sacred Hebrew Letter Movement). Our journey into Mystery will include and be enriched by sacred chant, movement, textual gleanings, and shared inquiry.
Hasita Nadai, is the creator of Yogagaia, a deep ecologist, Reiki Master and practices Energetic Medicine Healing.
Judith Rose, the founder of the Vital Movement™, is an experienced educator, poet, and movement artist. She has an extensive background in a variety of movement modalities that include training in Dance for PD from the Mark Morris Dance Group. Judith currently offers mentorship to new movement educators and continues to teach classes and workshops in movement at Birchwood Center and other locations in the NY area. Her private practice in therapeutic work is located in Nyack, NY. Her work is deeply grounded in the belief that the arts provide a medium for personal and communal healing and transformation.

Twists – Finding a More Satisfying View – Twist and Don’t Shout -
Saturday June, 1 – 1:30 – 4:00 – w/ Chris Glover -
$40 prepaid ($45 paypal) $50 at the door
Spinal twists are the remedy for twisting out our physical, mental and emotional tension. When we feel tangled in stress our perspective of life is limited. Spinal twists turn us around and help us look in other directions.
Twists activate the solar plexus, the digestive system and the third chakra which governs our sense of personal power, will and energy. The twisting postures also energize the spinal column, hydrate the vertebral discs and strengthen the spinal nerves.
When properly executed twists are a powerful tool to de-stress, bring us into balance, good health and give us a more satisfying view.
Chris Glover is a certified yoga instructor, recognized by the Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. She has been teaching yoga throughout Westchester since 1990 and at The Rivertown Center for Yoga and Health since 2001.
